DUE TO THE PLANNED RETIREMENT OF THE CURRENT INCUMBENT, APPLICATIONS
ARE INVITED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive will be
accountable for the effective and efficient functioning of St.
Gabriel?s. S/he will realise the aims of the Board regarding the
strategic direction of the organisation and the provision of
high-level care and support through the development and implementation
of appropriate policies and plans and the most efficient use of
resources. S/he will act within the policy, financial, governance and
other limits set by the Board.

The Chief Executive Officer leads a management team spanning business
professions and clinical specialists in the execution of strategies
and deliverables across the areas of Finance, Fundraising, Respite
House management, transport management, Orthotics Services,
Hydrotherapy Services and a Children?s Disability Network Team. This
management team is part of an organisation with **Apply on the

with complex and challenging medical conditions. The Chief Executive
officer will guard the ethos and values of the organisation in
supporting the children who use its services and their
parents/guardians.

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the ongoing
delivery of services across all the care units in accordance with
service level agreements with the HSE and other funders, and the
strategic objectives of the board. They will ensure that all statutory
financial and clinical regulatory standards are complied with and
position the organisation to continue to grow, as well as
participating at regional and national level with peers in other
similar organisations.

Suitable applicants will have a minimum of a Level 8 Qualification
(honours bachelor?s degree) in Health/ Social Care or a related
discipline essential. S/he will have a minimum of 5 years?
experience at senior management / CEO level with significant and
demonstrable experience in clinical and corporate governance. Sectoral
knowledge/ working knowledge of the healthcare/ disability services/
not for profit/ charity sector is essential, with particular reference
to successful relationship management with funding organisations. S/he
will also have a track record in managing a comparably large and
complex organisation with a proven track record of strategic delivery
and senior operations management.

The role requires a highly motivated person with a drive to manage a
community-facing service organisation with excellent analytical,
evaluative and relationship management skills. S/he must have the
ability to lead a comparably-sized organisation with multiple
stakeholders.
